Mukul Rathi

Our family originates from Ajmer, Rajasthan. I was born and brought up in Calcutta, India. I am a finance professional having multiple affiliations and memberships both in India and the USA, including the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. I moved to the USA in 2005 and was the Chief Financial Officer at Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Inc.(ranked among the top 10 generic pharmaceutical companies in the World, North America, and overall No. 1 in India) till 2017. I currently head procurement for this company, based in Princeton, New Jersey. 

Our association with the Maheshwari Samaj goes back to my childhood days, as our family was always active, including being part of forming the committee and managing a Maheshwari students hostel in our native place. I have been associated with MMNA since 2006 with the MidWest Chapter (based in Michigan till 2013). I was on the MidWest chapter committee and have been on the National Executive Committee since 2013 as Joint Treasurer, then Treasurer, and now am currently serving as Vice President. I have been actively involved in organizing 3 conventions and have attended more than 5 conventions. 

I am also involved with Sewa International in New Jersey. Our family is actively involved with APNA GHAR, an association that provides shelter to the homeless in India. I am married to Shilpa Rathi (born & brought up in Mumbai, India), who is an agent of State Farm Insurance, licensed in the States of NJ, PA, NY, and DE. We have two sons: Ishan (Working at Amazon) and Hanish.
